Laney McElveen only has about 3 months to go, till hers and Declan's second child makes a debut.
She's been worried at times, being 40, and the extra risks, but everything seems good so far.
In the second trimester, she had some time to work on a quilt for Charlotte's "big girl" room, and wallpaper her attic sewing nook.
This month, Laney and Declan went ahead and moved Charlotte into her new room so she will be used to it by August. Charlotte won't be four until September, though.
The nursery is also ready to go! If the baby is a boy, Declan wants Laney to change out the pink curtains! She argued pink is not an issue....
Declan is also hoping Laney will stop jumping into his arms soon, because she's getting kind of hefty.
Aw, I'm so excited for Declan and Laney! I'm thrilled for Charlotte too, though this is a time of big changes for her - her big girl birthday and becoming a big sister at the same time could be a little overwhelming!
ReplyDeleteMe too, it is exciting! It's true it is a lot for Charlotte at the same time, especially with her being used to so much of her parent's undivided attention.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an exciting time, big time for Charlotte especially with the new baby, the new bedroom, and with starting school. Looks like they will have a baby and a toddler for one short month, that won't be so terribly hard.
